Project objective: To better utilise the potential of historical, cultural, industrial and natural tourist attractions by overcoming language barriers and increasing the accessibility of museum offerings. This will be achieved through the implementation of a personalised tour system for permanent exhibitions (audioguides) at the Emil Drobny Museum in Rybnik and a mobile application at the Museum of the Novojičín Region
Project description:
Thanks to the Fund’s support, in the second half of 2026 our museum will introduce a modern personalized tour system (audio guide) that will allow every visitor to explore the permanent exhibitions at their own pace and in their chosen language: Polish, Czech, English, or German; The museum’s website will also be adapted to these languages. Our partners from Nový Jičín will provide a mobile app – a guide to the Nový Jičín region.
Project outcomes:
As a result of the implemented activities, the accessibility of the cultural offerings of both project partners will increase. Removing the language barrier will lead to greater interest in these offerings and an increase in tourist traffic on both sides of the border. As a result of the project, both museums will introduce permanent exhibitions tailored to foreign tourists (the Fr. Emil Drobny Museum in Rybnik) and a mobile app (Museums of the Novojičín Region). Additionally, the Rybnik museum’s website will also be adapted for Czech-speaking tourists.
